In celebration of NAIDOC Week, we're shining a spotlight on some of the incredible First Nations artists and events coming to Moshtix. From powerful live performances to community-led celebrations, these experiences honour culture, storytelling and the enduring contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Miss Kaninna
Miss Kaninna is a Yorta Yorta, Dja Dja Wurrung, Kalkadoon and Yirendali artist whose music is as fearless as it is infectious. Based in Naarm/Melbourne via lutruwita/Tasmania, she has quickly become one of Australia's most exciting voices, blending hip hop, R&B and punk energy with unapologetic storytelling rooted in culture, identity and resistance.
Fresh off the release of her acclaimed debut EP KANINNA, she's taking her Blackprint Tour on the road this August, bringing her electrifying live show to the NT and Melbourne.
Baker Boy
Baker Boy is a proud Yol u artist and one of Australia's most electrifying live performers, known for blending hip hop, dance and language into a high-energy celebration of culture and identity.
A trailblazer for First Nations music, he continues to bring Yol u Matha to major stages across the country, delivering performances packed with joy, movement and powerful storytelling.

Kutcha Edwards
Acclaimed Mutti Mutti, Yorta Yorta and Nari Nari songman Kutcha Edwards is one of the country's most powerful First Nations voices, sharing stories of culture, identity and resilience through his music.

NGALAK NIDJA BILYA (WE ARE THE RIVER)
Taking place at The Rechabite on Friday 10 July, Ngalak Nidja Bilya (We Are The River) is a queer fundraiser party honouring NAIDOC Week and celebrating First Nations and LGBTQIA+ trailblazers.
The event features First Nations DJs including Agapantha, DJ Borderan, Oniike and TapeMind, alongside MCs and live performances from Becca Hatch, Bobby Bennell, Boorloo Ballroom, Miss Phoria, Saargeant and Tanesha Bennell.
Produced by Tanesha Bennell in association with The Rechabite, the not-for-profit event will donate profits to local charities supporting First Nations communities.
DEM MOB
Indigenous hip-hop collective DEM MOB are bringing their powerful blend of music, culture and storytelling to Yours & Owls Festival 2026. Hailing from Garramilla (Darwin), the group performs in both English and First Nations languages, using their music to celebrate culture, identity and community.
