The band blends nostalgic '90s/'00s Aussie culture with funky, retro dance, creating high-energy live shows that are a guaranteed good time! Continuing on the theme of nostalgia, we sat down with Liam from Playlunch and he took us through the bands top five tv shows from childhood. Check out their picks below!

Keen to see Playlunch live? Catch them at Ocean Sounds on Sat 10 Jan 2026 or on 'The Sex Ed Regional Tour' across TAS, ACT & NSW this Mar-May 2026. Grab your tickets below.

Words by Liam from Playlunch:

Dragon Ball Z

The muscliest men on TV at the time! Formulaic story but it's good motivation for gym going millennials and zoomers alike. Fastest way for a child to develop the vocal fry of a lifelong smoker.

Captain Planet

The prequel to Greta Thunberg. We can only imagine this is what Al Gore's America would have looked like.

Arthur

Best intro song performed by Ziggy Marley. Main drawback is that it's never fully explained why aardvarks family do not have noses.

The Land Before Time

This show made me get in trouble at school for trying to eat leaves. It's almost the ultimate comfort show while getting scary at times.

Yu-Gi-Oh!

The theme song goes hard af! The art style was different and the voice acting was iconic. Loved it when people got sent to the shadow realm! It also inadvertently lead to my first moment of consciousness when Mum sent me to school with fake playing cards.
